THE SCOFIELD REFERENCE BIBLE:

A TROJAN HORSE

The following is an abridged dossier on Cyrus Ingerson Scofield, the theological paragon of many Christians.

ADULTERY, DESERTION, AND DIVORCE

C.I. Scofield deserted his first wife, Leontine Carr Scofield, and his two young daughters, Abigale and Helene. The stern reality of the 1880's was that an abandoned woman had neither welfare nor access to a well paying job. This is just our first insight into the pitiless heart of C.I. Scofield.

At this time, Scofield was making overtures to two other women-an unnamed young woman from the St. Louis Flower Mission, and Hettie Van Wark whom he later married. Leontine, a devout Catholic, obtained a divorce on December 8, 1883 in Scofield's hometown of Atcheson, Kansas. From her meager earnings as a librarian she properly educated her two daughters. The abandoned Leontine never remarried and was laid to rest in the Atcheson cemetery in 1936.Three months after the divorce, on March 11, 1884, C.I. Scofield married Hettie Van Wark.

A TANGLED WEB

Although a professing Christian, Scofield embarked on a legal and political career, which gave him the opportunity to swindle trusting Christian and secular friends out of thousands of dollars. Finally entangled in his own web, he was confined for six months in the St. Louis, Missouri jail on a charge of forgery. His arrest records were "lost" under suspicious circumstances. (His controllers, as we shall see, were astonishingly powerful)

Unremorseful, he defrauded his mother-in-law out of $1300 and even when, in his opulent years, $1300 would have been a trifling sum, he never repaid her.

Cyrus Scofield became a lawyer although he never attended any college. This loquacious Kansas con man attracted the attention of a powerful group in Boston whose esoteric title was the Secret Six. The Secret Six sent their spokesman, John Ingalls, to Kansas, and through their influence, Scofield, who was bereft of formal legal training, was admitted to the Bar. The presumptuous Scofield then bestowed upon himself the degree of Dr. of Theology.

With the help of the Secret Six, Scofield was appointed United States Attorney for the State of Kansas-only to make a strategic resignation whence and Ingalls were implicated in a blackmail scheme against the railroad.

THE SECRET SIX PLANS A NEW DIRECTION FOR CHRISTIANITY

The Boston Secret Six, whom Scofield had never met, assigned him the task of making the Fatherhood of God and Brotherhood of Man concept the cornerstone of Christian faith.

The Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man has indeed become a moralism for modern Christianity, and one's reaction might be, "If the Secret Six ordered Scofield to give the aforementioned motto a prominent place in his Bible, they must be a benevolent association." This is one indication that another gospel has supplanted the Gospel of the Kingdom as taught by Jesus. Many of our Lord's kingdom parables were not about a one-world brotherhood, as envisioned by the World Council of Churches, but about separation: The tares separated from the wheat, the goats from the sheep, the bad fish from the good, and those without wedding garments from those with wedding garments.

Revelation 18:4 - I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her My People, that ye be not partakers of her sins and that ye receive not of her plagues."

2nd Corinthians 6:17 - Wherefore, "Come out from among them, and be ye separate," saith the Lord, "and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you."

Matthew 13:41 - The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and them which do iniquity.2nd John 10 - If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him Godspeed. Scofield was an ideal tool for beclouding the clear waters of Christianity with the Doctrine of Baalim. Eager to associate himself with this powerful fraternity, he willingly became their attack dog.

PRISON, DARBY'S GHOST, AND THE RESUSCITATION OF FUTURISM

While serving a sentence of forgery, Scofield devoured the writings of J.N. Darby, an English eccentric who promoted the Universal Bed doctrine by making it a cornerstone of his new denomination known as the Brethren Movement or the Plymouth Brethren. In order for international socialism to be realized, it became necessary to instill in the minds of Christians the proposition that it was not the province of the church to intrude into national affairs, and that Scriptural laws, statutes, and judgments were archaic.

On July 23, 1901 Scofield confided to some of his associates, Dwight L. Moody included, that he intended to develop a reference Bible that would bring to pass this "new beginning and new testimony." Although a letter from Scofield appeared in the Moody Monthly, the existence of Scofield's sinister controllers was concealed. Concerning prophecy, Scofield wrote in this letter, "I congratulate in advance the future readers of my Bible on having their hands a safe, clear, sane guide through what, to most, is a labyrinth."

POWERS IN HIGH PLACES

The publication of the Scofield Reference Bible (made up of notes plagiarized from J.N. Darby) was a task requiring money. While assuming a pious exterior, Scofield was enjoying generous financial backing from the Secret Six whose goal was to channel Christianity in a direction that would serve their ambitions.

In 1901 Scofield was admitted to the Lotus Club in New York, which was composed of individuals who had made significant contributions to the arts and sciences. Scofield's reference Bible had, as yet, not been completed, so he was technically unqualified for admittance into this elite organization. The club's literary committee was headed by Samuel Untermeyer, a criminal lawyer, whose accomplishments on behalf of socialist and communistic causes take up two columns in Who's Who in America Untermeyer's goal was to persuade Christians to support hidden socialist agendas. The Scofield Reference Bible would be a valuable tool in realizing these ulterior purposes.

OUT OF THE FIRES OF THE INQUISITION

Scofield plagiarized the chaotic Futurist and Rapture Doctrines from the writings of J.N. Darby, who, in turn, purloined the fallacious articles of faith from the Scottish visionary, Reverend Margaret McDonald. Reverend McDonald failed to disclose that her futurist teachings originated in the mind of the Jesuit priest, Francisco Ribera Ribera's calculation that the size of hell was precisely 200 square miles made him one of the most respected theologians of the 1580's, but it remained for his conjuration of a future antichrist to truly immortalizehim.

"THE LAW NAILED TO THE CROSS"

Many Christians, because of the rise of Futurism with its Rapture Theory and consequent antinomianism, have lost interest in maintaining a righteous government. The Christian battlecry, "The law has been nailed to the cross", has become a phenomenon of these final days. One should be excused for wondering why media preachers indulge in histrionics (showmanship?) when expounding on such a nebulous and unrealistic concept as the law being nailed to the cross and why they persist in misquoting Colossians 2:14, taking the verse out of context, and ignoring the marginal notes. Unabashed at the apparent dichotomy of brain function, they proclaim the law of the tithe (to their personal ministries) with undiminished emotionalism.(It is now Halloween evening and as I peer out of the window, I can see three Jack-o-lanterns, costumed children, and low clouds lit by city lights. This assures me that the heavens and earth have not departed, and that the words of our Lord are faithful and true: "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the lawtill all be fulfilled.")

Even more damaging than antinomianism, dispensationalism, futurism, and the monster-man antichrist - and causing greater Mid-East and world-wide tremors, is the statement in the Scofield Bible that the Jews are "all of Israel."

By the 1920's, many ministers, because of the Scofield Reference Bible, were avowed dispensationalist, and by the 1930's a concerted effort was made to provide the majority of Protestant denominations with the Scofield Bible.

SCOFIELD ENJOYS PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT AT OXFORD

Oxford University and the London School of Economics have played major rolesin the promotion of Fabian Socialism, which has influenced such Americans asDwight David Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan,George Bush, and Bill Clinton.

Fabian Socialism seeks to bring about world socialism by deceit. Its main control in America is through high taxation and a national debt created by bankers who have no national loyalties. Although America has several good Bible publishing houses, Scofield chose to have his reference Bible published by the Fabian socialist Oxford University Press. More likely, his masters paved the way to have this uncredentialed Kansas confidence man publish his book through the prestigious Oxford University Press. Previous to this, Scofield had published only one small book with the ironic title of Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth. In a letter to his daughter, Helene, whom he deserted years before, Scofield boasted that he was giving theological lectures at the Carnegie Institute. He failed to mention the important part the Carnegie Institute was playing, in promoting international socialism.

With funding from obscure and sinister sources, Scofield was able to place doctrines, which are in opposition to the Gospel of the Kingdom as taught by our Lord Jesus, on the very pages of the King James Bible. As a result, many non-discriminating Christians have given Scofield's notes the same validity as the adjacent Scripture itself.

"I am devoting my lecture in this seminar to a discussion of the possibility that we are now entering a Jewish Century. A time when the spirit of the community, the non-ideological blend of the emotional and rational and theresistance to categories and forms will emerge through the forces of anti-nationalism to provide us with a new kind of society. I call this process the Judaization of Christianity because Christianity will be the vehicle through which this society becomes Jewish." - Rabbi Martin Siegel,' New York Magazine', p.32, Jan. 18, 1972

THE TROJAN HORSE IS WITHIN THE GATES...
