A look at Daniel's Seventy Weeks
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take
heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and
the day star arise in your hearts: 2 Pet 1:19
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that
are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
Isa 46:10
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. Dan 9:25
A prophetic "week" represents 7 years.
Seventy "weeks" represents 70 times 7 years or 490 years.

midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,

The Seventy Weeks are complete!
Dan 9:26b and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city
and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end
of the war desolations are determined. 27b and for the overspreading of abominations
he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined
shall be poured upon the desolate.
70 AD Sacking of Jerusalem by Titus the Roman General where the rage against
the Jew's was so intense that they burned the temple to the ground and then
to get at the gold that had melted and run between the stones they upturned
every stone and fulfilled the prophecy of Mark 13:2
